Who is Marcel?

Au Comptoir MarCel is the fruit of the union between Marco and Céline, a couple driven by their shared passion for cooking and wine.

The restaurant offers exceptional, creative cuisine with Portuguese accents, where classics are reinterpreted while showcasing local ingredients. Each hand-crafted dish tells the story of both their origins and the flavors they discovered during their travels.

Marco, previously a chef in Montreal, spent over a decade traveling the world perfecting his art. His cuisine, simple and authentic, celebrates the Quebec terroir and draws inspiration from his Portuguese origins and European culinary traditions.

Céline, originally from the South of France, grew up between vineyards and the Mediterranean and developed her passion for wine through her professional experiences. An expert sommelier, she maintains an eclectic private-importation wine cellar based on her discoveries, inviting the adventurous to explore, and highlighting producers who share her values.
